Sometimes we navigate through moments of confusion, darkness, or uncertainty. It can feel like a maze as we struggle to find clarity. The spiritual journey can be filled with doubts that seem like they will never go away. The darkness can make us unsure of our purpose. God’s call to walk as children of the light is more important than ever. External circumstances are a challenge but the believer can know that true spiritual light is within
“While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light” (John 12:36 ESV).
This verse invites us to trust in Jesus, the light of the world, so that we may be transformed into His likeness, living as His children. Just as he is the light he calls us to walk as His children, the children of the light.
“For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8 ESV).
We have moved from darkness to living as people of the light. Our transformation has moved us spiritually from darkness into light; this is true, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5 ESV).
God is pure and holy, represented by the metaphor of light. We are invited into this purity and holiness so we too can reflect His nature by our daily walk. Be intentional as a child of light. We are learning here that we can reflect God in purity and truth, especially in what we do.
As you take time today in prayer and study, seek wisdom that illuminates your path. Look for clarity that guides you to exemplify the will of God. Our faith can empower us to shine brightly in a world that needs the light.
Move as the Light.
