“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 ESV)
Perhaps the greatest lesson time has to grant us is – patience. The fast pace of our world brings, with our experience, a lot of stress. Time invites us into the transformative process of waiting. Waiting is not a passive activity, it’s an act of trust that brings strength. Just like the eagles that soar above the storms, we wait on God who lifts us above our circumstances.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14 ESV)
Practice: Take time to sit in silence and reflect on this season of waiting. Breathe deeply, center your thoughts on the presence of God.
Journal: Consider writing a prayer of surrender, ask for strength, and wait on Him. How can you engage in waiting and trusting that He is working behind the scenes?
