Psalm 23:3 – “He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
This invitation to restoration, our soul at peace, when we receive it, it is a radical contrast to the conflict the world has to offer. Like the shepherd and his sheep, beside quiet waters, our souls are refreshed and rejuvenated. When I’m worn out, there is some point in the mess when I have opportunity to receive restoration.
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus invites the weary to come to Him for rest. How have you experienced this rest? What burdens or work do you need to release?
We don’t think often of “paths of righteousness,” how might these paths contribute to restoring your soul? Reflect on a time when following God’s prescription brought renewal to your spiritual walk.
