God uses the 8 Moves of creation (and more) to train and mature us each day.
Creation is a profound teacher, crafted by God with rhythms and truths that speak into every aspect of our lives.
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made” (Romans 1:20 ESV)
Each element in creation—from light that breaks darkness, to waters that sustain life, to land that grounds us—reveals God’s design and invites us to a deeper understanding.
These natural elements are not only parts of our physical world but serve as signposts for spiritual growth, guiding us to align with God’s purposes.
“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Matthew 6:28-29 ESV)
Through the 8 Moves, you’re invited to step into a journey that’s shaped by these universal truths, using them as pathways for personal and communal transformation.
By engaging with the power of creation, we learn to rest, renew, and lead lives that reflect the Creator’s heart.
This journey is about more than personal growth; it’s about living in rhythm with creation’s wisdom and letting these timeless patterns disciple us daily.
Together, let’s move through the themes of light, water, land, time, life, work, rest, and rebirth—as we move within these themes, we experience how they can lead us closer to God and mold us into people of purpose, passion, and compassion.
Journal Prompts:
1. Reflect on a recent experience in nature that felt sacred. How did it affect your awareness of God’s presence?
2. In what ways do you see God’s design for creation mirrored in your own growth journey?
3. Consider a time when you felt particularly “grounded” or “rooted.” What elements of that experience can you apply to your spiritual life?
4. How might aligning your rhythms with creation help you embody the qualities of a disciple?
