Is it enough just to making money to survive? If we don’t find joy in our work, productivity and success will not last. We need more, we need joy.
Identity:
You are a co-creator with God, he grants you work that reflects His design and purpose. Your labor, whether small or great, has meaning beyond the its results.
Move:
“A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.” (Ecclesiastes 2:24 ESV)
“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” (Psalm 90:17 ESV)
Life Application:
Joy is a gift from God, in moments of rest and in the work. Satisfaction also reflects God’s purpose in our lives. Inviting God into our tasks becomes a way of living, not just a fleeting emotion tied to success.
Reflection:
Where have you recently felt satisfied with your work? How can you see God’s favor and presence in your work?
Challenge:
Identify a task today where you might struggle to feel joy. Pause and pray, ask God to be present in the work. Reflect on how your work contributes to a larger purpose while His favor rests on you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the joy You provide in both work and rest. May Your favor be upon me, knowing that the work is meaningful because of Your presence. Amen.
