In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:1-2
I can’t call our strategy 8 Moves without starting with a conversation about movement. All our moves are reactions to stimuli or mental responses to other ideas or triggers around us. That mental idea allows us to either purposefully or unconsciously move. Google theories such as stimulus-response theory and cognitive psychology for more information. For our purpose, we need to know that from the beginning there has been movement. Genesis describes the creation as a series of commands by God. God “said.” Speaking is a move, an idea, is a move. Ideas prompt movement and God’s first recorded move created the mass of the universe as we know it. We can’t help but behold the creation and glory of God. Transformation is the result of that “beholding.” That is our desire with 8 moves, transformation into the likeness of God.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
