“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Ephesians 4:4-6 ESV
Sometimes the Apostle Paul packs a wallop in a few verses as we continue to talk about the picture of baptism. It might sound strange talking about the unity of the Church. There are so many different kinds of groups that call themselves church. Whatever the name of the church building. Or the headquarters or college your faith community associates… the creeds may vary. The question is, has Christ taken you into His body? Has the Holy Spirit become an indwelling influence in your life? We could boil it all down to this one faith. And ask, Is Jesus the Lord of your life? If so, in that, we can all say we are one. And we can rejoice that we are one in the One who is over all, through all, and in all.” – one for the One, Glen (2/27/24)
